Home Sweet Home

My home is an 850 sq. foot 'soft loft' near downtown.  Unlike a typical loft, I have some form of privacy -- two full walls, one short wall, and a sliding floor to ceiling door -- separating the bedroom from the living areas of my apartment but, like most lofts, I have more large areas and nooks than I do actual rooms.  This can be equally fun as it is frustrating. The fun part comes when I realize there are endless furniture arrangements because I have such a large space to play with. The frustrating part is trying to define all those areas and keep it feeling cozy. Because of this, I am constantly moving things around and experimenting with all that space.

Here's how my living area was looking in the beginning...

And then a year later with a little switch-a-roo...

Of course I couldn't leave it that way forever, so I did some more shifting and it's looking more like it did in the beginning -- I'll try to get some pictures soon :)

The sewing/craft/dog/creative nook has also undergone it's fair share of rearranging.  In the beginning it was a little sparse and left much to be desired...

Then the pups got moved in and filled up quite a bit of space...

Then I decided I wanted that space back and this chaos ensued...

Although I'm still not finished in here, it has gotten to a point of being useful once again...

I'll work on getting more photos of the rest of my place!
